U Tin Tut (Burmese:  ဦးတင္ထြဋ္ ; 1 February 1895 – 18 September 1948) was the first Foreign Minister of the Union of Burma, and the Minister of Finance in General Aung San's pre-independence government. Dulwich and Cambridge educated U Tin Tut was the first Burmese to become an Indian Civil Service officer.

U Tin Tut, ICS, U Aung Zan Wai, U Pe Khin, Bo Hmu Aung, Sir Maung Gyi, Bo Khin Maung Galay, Dr. Sein Mya Maung, Myoma U Than Kywe were most important negotiators and leaders of the historical Panglong Conference negotiated with Burma national top leader General Aung San and other top leaders in 1947. All these leaders decided to join together to form the Union of Burma. Union day celebration is one of the greatest in the history of Burma.

He was Prime Minister General Aung San's deputy in the government. He was wounded but survived the shooting on 19 July 1947 that claimed the lives of General Aung San and six other cabinet ministers. He was assassinated in September 1948.
